In brief

Morpheus Body is a radiofrequency microneedling treatment built for larger areas of the body. It combines microneedling with deep RF energy to tighten loose skin and remodel the fat layer — smoothing and firming the abdomen, arms, thighs, and more, with minimal downtime.

Overview

Morpheus Body — Tighten & Tone

Morpheus Body, part of the InMode platform, delivers radiofrequency energy through fine microneedles deep into the tissue. That energy stimulates collagen and tightens the skin while also remodeling the underlying fat — addressing the crepey, loose, or dimpled skin that diet and exercise can’t fix.

It’s designed for the body’s larger canvases: the abdomen, flanks, upper arms, thighs, and knees. Because it works through tiny needle channels rather than incisions, downtime is minimal.

We often use Morpheus Body for its tightening effect — and, when significant fat is present, pair it with liposuction, which is far more effective for debulking, so each tool does what it does best.

Common Areas
  • Abdomen and flanks
  • Upper arms
  • Thighs and knees
  • Crepey or loose body skin
Skin quality, not debulking

Morpheus Body shines at tightening and smoothing. For removing volume, liposuction is the better tool — and the two pair well.

The Process

What to Expect

Medically reviewed by Dr. Andre Y. Levesque, MD · Board-certified plastic surgeon (ABPS) · Last reviewed November 19, 2025

A Morpheus Body session is comfortable and done in the office.

01

Consultation

We assess your skin laxity and goals and decide whether Morpheus Body alone, or combined with liposuction, will serve you best.

02

Your Treatment

After numbing, the handpiece delivers RF microneedling across the area. ProNox is available for comfort. Larger areas take longer but are still measured in minutes.

03

Recovery

Expect mild redness and a grid-like pattern that fades over a few days. Results build over months as collagen forms.

Candidacy

Am I a Candidate?

Morpheus Body is best for mild-to-moderate skin laxity and texture. You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have crepey, loose, or dimpled skin on the body
  • Want tightening with minimal downtime and no incisions
  • Are close to your goal weight
  • Understand results build gradually over a series
Best in a series

Most patients get the best result from a short series of treatments spaced several weeks apart, with improvement continuing for months afterward.

Timeline

Results & Combining with Liposuction

Morpheus Body results build gradually. You may notice tighter, smoother skin within a few weeks, but the fuller effect develops over three to six months as new collagen forms and remodels the treated area. Most patients get the best outcome from a short series of sessions spaced several weeks apart, and results continue to refine after the final treatment.

For patients who have both unwanted fat and loose skin, the most powerful plan is to combine tools rather than ask one to do everything. Liposuction is far more effective for removing volume, while Morpheus Body excels at tightening and smoothing the skin that remains. Used together — debulk with liposuction, then tighten with radiofrequency microneedling — each does what it does best, and the combined result is smoother and more contoured than either alone. At your consultation we’ll be honest about which combination fits your anatomy and goals.

Common Questions

What does Morpheus Body treat?

Loose, crepey, or dimpled skin on the abdomen, flanks, arms, thighs, and knees, by tightening skin and remodeling the underlying fat.

Is there downtime?

Minimal — expect mild redness and a fine grid pattern that fades over a few days.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients do a short series spaced several weeks apart, with results building for months.

Does it remove fat?

It mildly remodels fat, but for meaningful fat reduction, liposuction is far more effective — the two are often combined.

Does it hurt?

We numb the area and ProNox is available; most patients tolerate it well.
