In brief

CO2 Lift is a non-invasive carboxytherapy treatment — a carbon-dioxide gel that’s applied to the skin to boost oxygenation and circulation, like a localized version of a hyperbaric-oxygen treatment. It hydrates, brightens, and firms the skin with zero downtime, and it’s a favorite for speeding recovery after surgery.

Read the deeper dive in our post on CO2 Lift for facials and faster recovery.

Overview

CO2 Lift — Oxygenate & Glow

CO2 Lift works by applying a carbon-dioxide gel to the skin. As the CO2 is absorbed, the body responds by increasing blood flow and oxygen delivery to the area — the same principle as carboxytherapy, delivered painlessly through the skin’s surface. The result is skin that looks more hydrated, brighter, and firmer.

As a facial, it’s a great pre-event glow or part of routine skin maintenance, with visible results after a single session and no downtime. Used after a facelift or liposuction, it helps reduce swelling and bruising and supports faster healing.

The treatment is comfortable, suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin, and can be combined with other treatments for an added boost.

01

Application

The two-part carboxytherapy gel is mixed and applied to the treatment area.

02

Absorption

The gel sits for a short time as the CO2 is absorbed and circulation increases; many patients feel a gentle tingle.

03

Reveal

The gel is removed to reveal brighter, hydrated skin. Results are immediate with a series enhancing long-term benefits.

The Science

How Carboxytherapy Works

CO2 Lift is a form of carboxytherapy. When the carbon-dioxide gel is applied, CO2 diffuses into the skin and the body reads it as a local rise in carbon dioxide — so it responds by sending more oxygen-rich blood to the area (a version of the “Bohr effect”). The result is a surge of circulation and oxygenation that hydrates, brightens, and firms, much like a localized hyperbaric-oxygen treatment, but painless and without a chamber.

That same boost in blood flow is why CO2 Lift is so useful after surgery. Following a facelift or liposuction, better circulation and oxygen delivery can help reduce swelling and bruising and support faster, healthier healing. Compared with more aggressive resurfacing, CO2 Lift asks nothing of your schedule — there’s no peeling, redness, or downtime — making it easy to use on its own for a glow or as a gentle complement to almost any other treatment.
